RansomShield
RansomShield is a lightweight endpoint agent plus a web console that focuses narrowly on early-stage ransomware detection and rapid rollback. Instead of trying to be a full EDR replacement, it monitors high-signal filesystem and process behaviors (mass file renames, rapid entropy changes, suspicious shadow copy deletion, abnormal SMB write bursts) and automatically isolates the host, kills offending processes, and snapshots critical directories for fast recovery. The product is realistic: it won’t stop every hands-on-keyboard attacker, but it can dramatically reduce damage from common ransomware families and misconfigured environments. It integrates with Windows via kernel-level file system minifilter and with macOS via EndpointSecurity framework, and pushes alerts to Slack/Teams and SIEM. Pricing is per endpoint with a small-business friendly tier, because many orgs can’t afford “full suite” security stacks but still fear ransomware above all else.
