RapidScout

RapidScout is a mobile app (with a lightweight web dashboard) for kayakers and canoeists to plan and run rivers with fewer unknowns. It aggregates real-time gauge data, weather, and known hazards, then turns it into a simple “go / caution / no-go” view for a specific stretch and skill level. The AI layer summarizes recent trip reports, flags contradictory info, and generates a pre-trip checklist tailored to your boat type, group size, and water temperature. Offline mode caches maps and key notes for no-signal put-ins. Users can log runs, attach photos of hazards/strainers, and share a private plan with their group including shuttle timing and emergency contacts. This is not a magic safety tool; it’s a decision-support and coordination tool that reduces preventable mistakes and improves preparation without pretending to replace experience.
