RateFence

RateFence is a web app (with optional desktop agent) for enterprise SaaS finance teams to detect and prevent revenue leakage caused by pricing/contract drift, misapplied discounts, incorrect entitlements, and usage-to-invoice mismatches. It ingests data from CRM (quotes/opportunities), CPQ/pricing tables, contract repositories, product entitlement systems, usage logs, billing, and the general ledger. The system continuously reconciles “what was sold” vs “what was delivered” vs “what was billed” vs “what was recognized,” then flags exceptions with an auditable trail and estimated $ impact. It includes a rules engine for deterministic checks plus an AI layer that clusters anomalies, suggests likely root causes (e.g., expired price book, manual override, missing amendment), and drafts remediation tasks for RevOps/Support. Realistically, winning requires deep integrations and trust, so the MVP should focus on 2-3 common stacks and a narrow set of high-value checks.
