RateLockr

RateLockr is a mobile + web AI-assisted mortgage “lock vs float” decision tool for homebuyers under contract. Users connect (or manually enter) their loan estimate details—rate, points, lender fees, lock expiration, closing date, and property info. The app tracks daily rate movements and calculates the real break-even cost of waiting versus locking now, including extension fees and the probability-weighted cost of missing the close. It generates a simple recommendation (lock/float/ask lender for X) plus a short script you can send to your loan officer. It also flags common gotchas: excessive points, junk fees, and when a “lower rate” is actually more expensive over your expected time in the home. This is not a lender marketplace; it’s a decision support tool that reduces anxiety and prevents costly mistakes during a tight closing window.
