RateProof is a web + mobile AI app that helps freelancers and contractors price work realistically using verified, anonymized market signals. Users enter a project brief (scope, industry, region, timeline, seniority, deliverables) and get a rate range, confidence score, and a breakdown of what drives price (rush fees, complexity, compliance, meetings, revisions). The app also generates a quote template and negotiation bullets tailored to the client type (startup, agency, enterprise). The core value is not “advice” but evidence: contributors can upload redacted invoices/contracts to earn access, improving the dataset over time. A lightweight browser extension can detect job posts and auto-suggest a rate range inline. This is not a magic money machine—rates vary wildly—but it reduces underbidding, overbidding, and awkward pricing conversations with data-backed ranges.
