RateProof

RateProof is a web app with a lightweight mobile companion that helps small and mid-sized ecommerce sellers reduce sales tax/VAT audit risk by creating “evidence packs” for every tax decision. It plugs into Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon/eBay exports, and Stripe to pull orders, shipping addresses, product SKUs, and tax collected. For each jurisdiction, it stores the applied rate, exemption logic, and the supporting source (official rate tables, product taxability notes, customer exemption certificates, and shipping terms). When rates change, it flags impacted SKUs and destinations and generates a change log you can hand to your accountant or auditor. This is not a full filing service; it focuses on defensible documentation, monitoring, and exception handling—where sellers and bookkeepers waste time and still get it wrong.
