ReadLoop

ReadLoop is a mobile + tablet app that helps kids actually finish books by turning reading into short, guided “loops” (5–10 minutes) with built-in comprehension checks. Parents or teachers scan a few pages (or import an ePub/PDF they own), and the app generates a read-along experience: highlighted text, optional narration, and quick questions that adapt to the child’s level. It tracks fluency (time on page, rereads, tricky words) and gives simple weekly reports without feeling like homework. The content stays private: families use their own books, avoiding licensing headaches and reducing the need to compete with giant content libraries. It’s not a miracle cure—kids who hate reading will still resist—but it makes reading sessions shorter, clearer, and easier to repeat consistently, which is what usually drives progress.
