RebalGuard

RebalGuard is a web + mobile app (traditional + light AI) that monitors your brokerage accounts and tells you when to rebalance based on real-world triggers, not calendar reminders. It uses threshold bands, drift budgets, tax-aware rules, and transaction-cost estimates to decide whether a rebalance is worth doing today. The app connects via Plaid, reads holdings, and generates a simple “Do nothing / Rebalance / Partial rebalance” recommendation with exact trades and an explanation: expected risk reduction, estimated tax impact, and fees/slippage assumptions. The AI component is limited to translating your goals and risk tolerance into a ruleset and explaining recommendations in plain English—no black-box stock picking. The core value is preventing unnecessary trades (and taxes) while keeping risk aligned to your target allocation. It’s realistic for DIY investors who want discipline without paying an advisor.
