RecallCart is a mobile app (with a lightweight web dashboard for admins) that lets shoppers scan barcodes/QR codes on vitamins, supplements, OTC meds, and “wellness” products to check for recalls, FDA warning letters, adulteration alerts, counterfeit risk, and seller trust signals. It aggregates public safety sources (FDA recalls/enforcement reports, FTC actions, Amazon/Walmart seller patterns where available, and brand verification feeds) into a single “buy / caution / avoid” result with plain-English reasons. Users can set watchlists (e.g., “melatonin gummies,” “ashwagandha,” “weight loss”) and receive push alerts if something they bought becomes flagged later. The app also stores purchase history via receipt scan so users can quickly identify impacted items during a recall. Monetization is subscription for families and a B2B tier for small retailers/clinics who want a safety-check kiosk and audit trail.
