RecallCart is a mobile + web app that flags safety recalls and compliance red flags while you shop for home and furniture items online or in-store. Users scan a barcode/UPC, paste a product URL, or type a model number; the app instantly checks official recall databases and manufacturer notices, then shows a clear risk summary (recall status, hazard type, affected batches, remedy steps). It also tracks your purchased items in a “Home Inventory” so you get push alerts if something you own is recalled later. For used/secondhand purchases, it helps verify whether a product is from an affected production run and provides a one-tap checklist for missing labels, tip-over kits, and required parts. This is not glamorous, but it’s practical: it reduces the chance of buying unsafe cribs, dressers, heaters, or electronics-laden furniture that can cause injury or fires.
