RecallFetch

RecallFetch is a mobile + web app that monitors pet food and treat safety in real time. Users scan a barcode or upload a receipt, and the app matches the exact product, lot code, and manufacturer against FDA recall feeds, brand announcements, and retailer notices. When a recall or contamination alert hits, it pushes a clear “do/don’t feed” notification, explains symptoms to watch for, and provides a one-tap checklist: stop use, isolate product, contact vet, and request refund with the right links and templates. It also tracks your pet’s basics (species, weight, allergies) to filter alerts that actually matter. This is not a glamorous idea, but it’s practical: people keep buying the same food for months, and recalls are easy to miss. The business model is freemium: core alerts free, premium for multi-pet households, vet-chat add-on, and automatic retailer claim filing.
