RecallLedger

RecallLedger is a web app (with Slack/Teams integrations) for lightweight decision and knowledge capture that actually gets used. Instead of trying to be a full wiki, it focuses on the highest-leverage knowledge teams lose: decisions, rationales, and “what we tried.” Users create short entries (Decision, Experiment, Incident, Customer Insight) with a required “Why” field and optional links to docs, tickets, PRs, and recordings. The app auto-generates a concise summary, tags, and a “revisit date” so knowledge doesn’t rot unnoticed. Search is built around questions people really ask (“Why did we choose X?”, “What happened last time we migrated?”, “Who owns this?”) and returns an answer plus the original sources. A simple governance layer assigns an owner per entry and pings them quarterly to confirm it’s still valid. Analytics show repeated questions and duplicate work signals, giving managers proof of value. This is an AI + traditional app: AI helps summarize, extract entities, and answer questions, but the product’s core is disciplined templates, ownership, and retrieval that fits daily workflows.
