Users scan a barcode or upload a receipt, and the app tracks lot numbers, expiration dates, and where the item was purchased. If a recall hits, RecallPaws sends a high-urgency alert, explains the risk in plain language, and provides step-by-step instructions for returns, refunds, or disposal—plus a shortlist of safer alternative products based on the pet’s profile (species, age, allergies). Retailers and small pet shops can optionally integrate to push in-store notices and automate customer outreach. This is not a “cute pet app”; it’s a utility that reduces panic and prevents harm when safety news breaks.
