RecallRadar

RecallRadar is a mobile + web app that automatically flags product safety risks for what you actually own and use. Users scan receipts, barcodes, or import purchase history from email/retailers to build a private “inventory” of products (baby items, appliances, cosmetics, supplements, tools). The app monitors official recall and safety alert feeds (CPSC, FDA, NHTSA, USDA, EU RAPEX where applicable) and sends actionable alerts: what’s wrong, how to confirm your model/lot, and the exact steps to return, repair, or stop using it. For small businesses (daycares, gyms, landlords, small retailers), it adds shared inventories, audit logs, and compliance-ready reports. It’s not magic: coverage depends on data quality and user participation, but it meaningfully reduces the chance of missing a recall notice buried in news or mail.
