RecallRadar is a mobile + web app that monitors your purchases for safety recalls, counterfeit alerts, and banned-product notices. You forward email receipts or connect your inbox to automatically extract product names, model numbers, and sellers; for in-store buys, you scan receipts or barcodes. The app matches items against official sources (CPSC, NHTSA, FDA recalls, EU RAPEX) and flags risk with clear next steps: stop-use guidance, refund/return instructions, and manufacturer contact templates. It also tracks deadlines, required photos, and claim status so users don’t miss windows. This is an AI + traditional app: AI is used to parse messy receipts and identify products accurately; the rest is deterministic workflows and verified data feeds. It’s realistic because it focuses on a narrow, high-stakes problem and avoids trying to “solve” all consumer disputes.
