RecallRadar

RecallRadar is a mobile app (with optional web dashboard) that helps parents and caregivers quickly learn when a child-related product they own is recalled or flagged for safety issues. Users scan barcodes/QR codes or import purchase emails to build a private inventory of baby and kids items (car seats, cribs, toys, bottles). The app then matches items against official recall sources (e.g., CPSC, FDA, NHTSA) and sends clear, actionable notifications: what’s wrong, severity, what to stop using, and how to get a refund/repair. It also provides a “safe replacement” checklist rather than pushing affiliate junk. This is not magic—coverage depends on data quality and correct product identification—but it can materially reduce the chance a family misses a recall notice buried in the news or an email they never received.
