RecallRelay is a web + mobile marketplace that helps businesses quickly offload, source, or properly dispose of recalled/return-to-vendor (RTV) and compliance-sensitive inventory. Sellers (retailers, 3PLs, distributors) list lots with required documentation (recall notice, batch/lot numbers, photos, chain-of-custody). Buyers (liquidators, refurbishers, certified recyclers, parts harvesters) bid or buy-now based on permitted outcomes: destroy, recycle, parts-only, or rework by authorized parties. The platform verifies listings against public recall databases and enforces buyer eligibility (licenses, certifications, insurance). Payments are held in escrow until proof-of-disposition is uploaded (e.g., destruction certificate, recycling manifest). This is not glamorous: margins can be thin and compliance is annoying, but the pain is real—companies need a safer, auditable way to move problematic stock without risking fines or brand damage.
