RECClause

RECClause is a web app (with optional desktop add-in) that helps energy buyers, sellers, and advisors review renewable credit contract language and spot the clauses that most often create disputes: delivery/settlement definitions, vintage and geography, tracking system requirements, replacement provisions, force majeure, make-whole language, and audit rights. Users upload a draft contract or term sheet, and the app produces a structured checklist, highlights risky or missing terms, and generates a clean “issues list” to send back to counterparties. It also stores a clause library by market (voluntary vs compliance) and by registry, so teams can standardize templates and reduce rework. This is not a magic legal robot: it’s a practical contract QA tool that reduces avoidable errors, speeds review cycles, and improves consistency across deals—especially for teams doing many small-to-mid REC transactions.
