ReceiptCarbon is a mobile + web AI app that estimates carbon emissions from everyday business spending by reading receipts, invoices, and bank transactions. Instead of asking employees to manually categorize purchases, it uses OCR and merchant/item inference to map spend to emissions factors (with confidence scores and audit trails). The app produces monthly summaries by team, project, and vendor, and exports to CSV for finance and sustainability reporting. It’s not a perfect Scope 3 solution: it’s a pragmatic “good-enough” layer for SMBs that can’t afford consultants or heavyweight platforms. Users can set reduction targets (e.g., travel, catering, cloud services), get alerts when high-impact categories spike, and generate a lightweight report for clients asking for emissions transparency. It focuses on speed, defensibility, and minimal employee hassle rather than claiming scientific precision.
