ReceiptLock

ReceiptLock is a mobile app plus lightweight retailer dashboard that makes scan-and-go less risky and less annoying. Shoppers scan items as usual, but the app generates a cryptographically signed “proof-of-purchase” receipt tied to the store, lane, time window, and a rotating device token. At exit, staff (or a kiosk) verifies the receipt in under a second via QR/NFC without needing to re-scan the cart. The retailer dashboard flags high-risk sessions using simple rules (e.g., unusual void patterns, high-value items, repeated “barcode not found,” or frequent session abandons) so only a small percentage of customers get a spot-check. This is not magic: it won’t stop all theft, and it requires retailer integration and staff buy-in. But it reduces friction for honest shoppers while giving stores better, faster verification than today’s easily faked screenshots.
