Receiptor

Receiptor is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that helps journalists, creators, and comms teams fact-check specific claims from videos, podcasts, and posts and publish a “receipt card” people actually share. Users paste a link or upload a clip, highlight the exact claim, and the app generates a structured brief: what was said, when, context, and a confidence-rated verdict with cited sources. It also produces a clean, branded card and a short explainer thread/script for social. The product is opinionated: it prioritizes traceability over “AI says so,” forcing every conclusion to be backed by primary sources or reputable databases. It includes a newsroom-style workflow (assign, review, publish) and a public page per claim so updates and corrections are transparent. Realistically, it won’t replace full investigative reporting, but it can speed up routine verification and reduce sloppy, uncited debunks.
