ReceiptReel is a mobile app (with a lightweight web dashboard) that turns everyday purchase receipts into actionable savings. Users snap or forward digital receipts; the app extracts items, prices, and store data, then checks for missed loyalty points, unclaimed rebates, and post-purchase price drops within eligible windows. It also organizes warranties/return deadlines and nudges users before they lose money. The AI layer focuses on messy receipt OCR, item normalization, and matching products across retailers (the hard part). The business model is a freemium subscription (advanced tracking, unlimited scans, family accounts) plus affiliate revenue where appropriate. This is not magic: many savings will be small, and coverage depends on retailer policies and available integrations. But it makes the “I should have gotten points / it went on sale” problem less manual and more consistent for regular shoppers.
