ReceiptRelay is a web + mobile app that plugs into common POS systems to issue tamper-evident digital receipts tied to a customer’s phone number or email, plus optional card token and device fingerprint. It replaces paper receipts with a verifiable receipt vault for shoppers and a dispute/returns console for staff. For retailers, it flags suspicious return patterns (no-receipt claims, repeated high-value returns, receipt reuse) and makes legitimate returns faster by instantly locating proof of purchase across locations. It’s not a full POS replacement—because that’s a losing battle against incumbents—but a lightweight checkout add-on that can be deployed store-by-store. The AI component focuses on risk scoring and pattern detection, while the core value is clean integrations, audit trails, and faster customer service. Expect pushback on privacy; the product must be explicit, opt-in, and compliant by design.
