ReceiptRitual

ReceiptRitual is a mobile + web app that helps you connect everyday purchases to what you actually care about. It links to your bank/credit accounts, then asks a 5-second “why” check-in on selected transactions (you choose the rules: over $25, certain merchants, late-night buys, etc.). Over time it builds a personal “values map” (e.g., health, convenience, generosity, status, learning) and shows where your money is really going versus what you say matters. The app doesn’t pretend to magically fix your finances; it’s a behavior tool that makes tradeoffs visible and helps you set small, specific guardrails (like ‘2 convenience meals/week’ or ‘$60/month on hobbies’). Weekly reviews are short and blunt: what you repeated, what you regretted, and one change to try next week. It’s designed for people who hate spreadsheets and want clarity, not perfection.
