Receipts

Receipts is an AI-assisted web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that tracks how a trend spreads across platforms and who actually said it first. Users paste a link, screenshot, or phrase; the app finds earliest known occurrences, builds a share/quote timeline, and attaches “receipts” (archived links, hashes, and citations) so claims can be verified later. It also flags likely reposts, edited screenshots, and context collapse by comparing near-duplicate text and media. The product is built for creators, journalists, brand teams, and researchers who are tired of vague “Twitter says” reporting and misinformation-by-virality. Reality check: access to some platforms is limited, so the MVP focuses on sources with reliable indexing (Reddit, YouTube, TikTok public pages, news, blogs) plus user-submitted evidence. It wins by being a verification tool, not another trend-feed.
