ReceiptSnap

ReceiptSnap is a mobile-first expense capture app for small businesses that are too small for Concur and too messy for spreadsheets. Users snap a receipt and the app extracts merchant, date, tax, and line totals, then auto-categorizes and flags policy issues (missing tip limits, alcohol, weekend spend, duplicate receipts). It generates a clean reimbursement report and exports to QuickBooks Online/Xero, with an audit trail and immutable receipt archive. The brutal reality: generic receipt scanners are everywhere, so this only works if it’s obsessively reliable and built around SMB workflows (owner approval, reimbursements, and bookkeeping). The MVP should focus on “get reimbursed correctly in minutes” rather than becoming a full finance suite. Monetization: per-active-user subscription with a free tier capped by monthly receipts.
