RECScout is a web app (with optional API) that helps sustainability teams and energy buyers source renewable energy credits with fewer mistakes and less time wasted. Users define their compliance and claims needs (region, vintage, technology, certification, delivery window, budget, risk tolerance). The app then aggregates offers from brokers, marketplaces, and uploaded term sheets, normalizes them into a comparable format, and flags hidden gotchas like mismatched geography, invalid vintages, double-counting risk, or weak documentation. It also tracks price history by REC type and region so buyers can justify timing and procurement strategy internally. This is not a trading exchange; it’s a decision and diligence layer that sits between messy quotes and procurement approvals. Expect adoption from teams that already buy RECs but are tired of spreadsheet chaos and audit anxiety.
