RecusalRadar

RecusalRadar helps judicial appointment teams and court administrators proactively identify potential conflicts of interest and recusal risks for judicial candidates. It centralizes a candidate’s disclosed affiliations (boards, clients, investments, family ties, prior cases) and cross-references them against public case dockets, party/counsel lists, and known organizational networks to produce a plain-language “recusal risk map.” The product is not a magic truth machine: it depends on data quality and disclosures, and it won’t replace legal judgment. But it can drastically reduce the time spent manually checking names across scattered sources and can create a defensible, auditable workflow for how conflicts were reviewed. The MVP focuses on a narrow, high-value workflow: intake disclosures, match entities, generate a review packet, and track sign-off with an audit trail for internal governance.
