RedactNest

RedactNest is a web app (with optional desktop uploader) that scans content before it goes live and automatically flags and redacts sensitive information: PII, secrets, client names, internal URLs, invoice IDs, and screenshots with exposed data. It plugs into common CMS workflows via a review gate: authors submit drafts, RedactNest runs checks, proposes redactions, and generates an audit trail for compliance. It’s an AI+rules hybrid: deterministic patterns for known secret formats (API keys, tokens) plus AI vision/NLP for screenshots and free-form text. The goal is not “better writing”—it’s preventing costly leaks and embarrassing posts. It supports multi-tenant teams, role-based approvals, and policy templates per org (e.g., healthcare vs. SaaS). Realistically, it wins only if it’s fast, accurate, and integrates cleanly; otherwise teams will ignore it.
