RedactPilot

RedactPilot is a web app (with optional desktop add-on) that helps executive offices and administrative agencies process public-records requests faster and with fewer mistakes. It ingests PDFs, scanned images, emails, and attachments, runs OCR, and guides staff through a defensible redaction workflow with policy-based templates (PII, juvenile info, medical, law-enforcement sensitive, etc.). The AI suggests redactions and exemption tags, but every action is human-reviewed with a clear audit trail, versioning, and exportable justification logs for legal review. It also includes request intake tracking, deadline reminders, and a simple requester portal for status updates and secure delivery. The goal is not “magic AI,” but reducing the repetitive, error-prone steps that cause missed deadlines, accidental disclosures, and expensive rework. Expect procurement and security reviews to be the hardest part, not the build.
