RedactPilot

RedactPilot is a web app (with optional desktop agent) that automatically finds and redacts sensitive information in documents and free-form text before it’s shared. Users paste text or upload files (PDF/DOCX/CSV), and the app detects PII/PHI/secrets (names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, SSNs, API keys, patient IDs) and applies configurable redaction rules. It generates a clean version plus a redaction report for audit/compliance. The core value is speed and consistency: teams stop relying on manual find-and-replace and “hope we caught everything.” It also supports organization-specific entities (internal project codenames, customer IDs) via custom dictionaries and pattern rules, and provides a review UI so humans can approve or undo redactions. This is an AI app combined with traditional rule-based detection because pure LLM redaction is unreliable without guardrails.
