RedactProof
RedactProof is a web + desktop app that verifies whether a document is truly safe after redaction—before it leaves your organization. It ingests PDFs, Word exports, and scanned images, then runs a “leak audit” to detect common redaction failures: hidden text layers, recoverable metadata, OCR-reconstructable content, inconsistent blackout objects, and copy/paste remnants. It produces a clear pass/fail report with exact page locations, confidence scores, and recommended fixes (flattening, re-OCR, metadata purge, re-render). An optional AI assistant suggests what should be redacted based on policy templates (PII, HIPAA, trade secrets), but the core value is verification, not auto-redaction. The app supports batch processing, chain-of-custody logs, and exportable audit reports for compliance. Realistically, it won’t replace incumbent redaction tools; it complements them by reducing embarrassing, costly disclosure mistakes.
