ReefReport
ReefReport is a mobile + web app that turns divers’ and snorkelers’ normal trip logs into structured reef health observations. Users record site, depth, temperature, visibility, coral bleaching level, disease signs, and notable species, with photo evidence and simple guided checklists. The app auto-tags photos, suggests likely species, and flags “needs review” items for partner scientists or trained moderators. A public map shows trends by site over time, while sensitive locations can be blurred to reduce poaching/overuse. Dive shops and NGOs get dashboards to monitor their local reefs and export data in standard formats for research and grant reporting. This is an AI + traditional app: AI helps with photo classification and data quality checks, but the core value is consistent, repeatable field reporting and community verification. Monetization: subscriptions for dive operators/NGOs and optional premium features for power users.
