ReferGuard

ReferGuard is a web + mobile app for tracking patient referrals across fragmented health systems (public clinics, hospitals, labs, and community programs). Instead of relying on phone calls and paper forms, it creates a referral “ticket” with a minimal dataset, consent status, and a clear next action. Each receiving facility confirms acceptance, schedules, or rejects with a reason, creating a closed-loop audit trail. Dashboards show bottlenecks by facility, service line, and geography, highlighting where patients are falling through the cracks. It supports low-connectivity workflows: SMS/USSD updates and offline capture that syncs later. The goal is not fancy analytics; it’s operational reliability—knowing which referrals are stuck, why, and who must act next. It also generates basic compliance reports for funders and ministries without forcing a full EHR replacement.
