RefillGuard is a mobile + web app for psychiatry clinics that prevents medication lapses by tracking refill risk and prompting action early. Patients get simple check-ins: remaining pills, side effects, missed doses, and pharmacy status. The clinic dashboard flags high-risk patients (controlled substances, recent dose changes, history of no-shows) and generates a structured “refill readiness” note for the prescriber. It also automates the annoying parts: refill request intake, pharmacy call logs, and patient reminders that are compliant and auditable. This is not a therapy app; it’s operational plumbing for safer continuity of care. Expect pushback: many clinics already have an EHR portal, but portals are clunky and patients don’t use them consistently. The value is reducing frantic last-minute refill calls, avoiding withdrawal/crisis escalations, and lowering staff time per refill.
