RefillGuard

RefillGuard is a mobile + web app that helps clinics and pharmacies prevent prescription refill failures and prior-authorization stalls. It ingests refill requests, payer rules, and pharmacy messages, then surfaces the exact missing info (recent labs, diagnosis code, step-therapy proof, quantity limits) and routes tasks to the right staff member. The AI component drafts PA narratives, suggests the correct ICD-10/CPT pairings from the chart, and predicts which refills are likely to be rejected based on payer patterns—while keeping a strict “human must approve” workflow. Patients get simple status updates and alternatives when a medication is blocked (cash price, therapeutic equivalents to discuss with the clinician, or bridge supply prompts). This is not a new EHR; it’s a narrow, operational tool designed to reduce phone-tag, faxes, and repeated denials that waste hours and harm adherence.
