RefMatchr

RefMatchr is a desktop app (VST3/AU plugin + standalone) that helps mixers quickly align a work-in-progress mix to one or more reference tracks without pretending to “auto-mix” the song. You load references, pick a target loudness, and the app shows clear, actionable deltas: tonal balance by bands, stereo width by frequency, dynamic range, and transient density. It then offers conservative, reversible suggestions (e.g., “2–4 kHz is +2.5 dB vs refs; try a gentle wide cut on mix bus or vocal bus”) and can generate an EQ curve you can audition but must confirm. The goal is speed, consistency, and fewer translation surprises, especially for home studios. It also includes a simple “car test” simulation chain and exportable mix reports for clients.
