RefReady

RefReady is a mobile + web app for youth and adult hockey leagues to schedule, confirm, and pay referees without the usual last-minute chaos. Assignors post games, set pay rates, and push offers to eligible refs based on level, location, and availability. Referees accept with one tap, get automated reminders, and check in at the rink via QR code to unlock payment. The app handles payouts (including split pay for 2-official crews), tracks reliability (late cancels/no-shows), and maintains a simple credential profile (cert level, background check date, insurance). For leagues, it produces clean exportable reports for accounting and provides an audit trail for disputes. This is not glamorous, but it targets the most operationally painful part of running hockey: getting qualified officials to show up and paying them correctly, on time.
