RefundRadar is a mobile + web app that gives taxpayers a single place to track the status of their federal and state tax refunds, estimate realistic timelines, and get proactive alerts when something looks off. Users connect via IRS transcripts (read-only) and state refund portals where available, then the app translates cryptic codes into plain English and suggests next steps (e.g., identity verification, missing forms, offset notices). It also monitors common delay triggers—EITC/ACTC holds, verification letters, return errors—and provides a checklist to resolve them fast. This is a traditional app with light AI: AI is used to explain transcript codes, draft call scripts, and generate “what to do next” steps, but it does not prepare or file taxes. The goal is reducing anxiety, wasted phone calls, and missed notices while improving time-to-refund outcomes when action is possible.
