RefurbProof is a mobile + web app that helps shoppers validate refurbished electronics listings and avoid “refurb-washed” products. Users paste a listing URL or upload screenshots, and the app extracts key claims (grade, battery health, parts replaced, warranty length, return window, seller identity). It then checks for red flags: missing serial/IMEI policy, vague grading language, inconsistent warranty terms, suspiciously reused photos, and seller track record across marketplaces. For supported brands, it guides users through post-delivery verification (battery cycles, screen replacement indicators, storage/SMART checks) and generates a dispute-ready checklist with evidence to speed up returns or chargebacks. This isn’t magic: it won’t guarantee quality, but it will reduce the odds of getting stuck with a lemon by making risk visible and actionable before and after purchase.
