RegretReset

RegretReset is a mobile app (with optional web dashboard) that helps people break the loop of rumination and self-blame after mistakes. Instead of generic “calm down” content, it guides users through a structured 7-minute “post-event reset”: name the event, separate facts from interpretations, identify the unmet need, choose one repair action, and set a hard stop on further mental replay. An AI coach rewrites the user’s harsh self-talk into a realistic, accountable narrative (not toxic positivity) and generates a small, concrete next step (message to send, boundary to set, task to schedule). The app tracks “replay minutes” and triggers, and it builds a personal playbook of what actually reduces rumination for that user. It’s designed for everyday screw-ups—work, relationships, parenting—not clinical therapy replacement.
