RegretTest

RegretTest helps people choose and stick to long-term goals by forcing clarity, tradeoffs, and evidence. Instead of vague “dream boards,” it runs structured goal audits: what you’re optimizing for (money, freedom, family, health), what you’re giving up, and what would make you regret this path in 5–10 years. The app turns goals into “bets” with measurable signals (leading indicators), quarterly review prompts, and pre-mortems. An AI coach summarizes your journal entries, detects inconsistency (e.g., saying you value family but planning 70-hour weeks), and suggests smaller experiments before big commitments (e.g., shadowing a role, a 30-day habit trial, a budget simulation). It’s realistic: most users won’t do daily tracking, so it’s built around monthly check-ins and quarterly resets. The product wins if it becomes the place you revisit when life changes, not another abandoned planner.
