RentProof is a mobile + web app that generates and maintains landlord-compliant proof of renters insurance without the usual back-and-forth. Users connect their existing policy (or manually upload it), and the app continuously checks key fields landlords care about: liability amount, additional insured, interested party, address match, effective dates, and deductible. When something is missing or expires, RentProof alerts the renter and provides a one-tap request to their insurer/agent for an updated declarations page or certificate. For landlords/property managers, a shareable verification link shows current compliance status without exposing sensitive personal details. This is not a new insurance carrier; it’s a compliance layer that reduces friction, avoids lease violations, and prevents move-in delays. Realistically, success depends on tight integrations and simple workflows—otherwise users will just email PDFs like they do today.
