RentRecon is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that focuses on the most annoying part of rent collection: figuring out who paid what, when, and why it doesn’t match your ledger. Tenants can pay via bank transfer, card, or existing payment rails, but the core value is reconciliation. The app connects to your bank feed, ingests incoming transactions, and matches them to leases using reference parsing, payer identity, amount tolerance, and payment history. When a payment is ambiguous, it creates a short “needs review” queue and sends the tenant a one-tap confirmation request. It also generates clean receipts, updates balances, and produces export-ready reports for accounting. This is not a magical “get everyone to pay on time” tool; it’s a practical system that reduces manual admin, prevents misapplied payments, and makes arrears tracking accurate enough to act on quickly.
