RepoProven is a web app that generates a “maintenance proof” badge and report for open-source repositories. It continuously scores a project’s health using objective signals: release cadence, issue/PR response times, bus factor indicators, CI status, dependency freshness, security advisories, and documentation coverage. Maintainers can publish a transparent report to reduce repetitive questions from users and sponsors. Companies can use it during procurement to quickly filter risky dependencies and justify approvals with an auditable snapshot. The product avoids pretending to be a full security scanner; it’s a decision-support layer that summarizes what’s already public and hard to interpret at scale. It also supports private mirrors via GitHub/GitLab app installation for enterprises that need internal scoring.
