ReproForge

ReproForge is a web app (with optional GitHub/GitLab integrations) that helps open-source maintainers convert messy bug reports into reproducible, actionable issues. It guides reporters through a structured, project-specific intake form, then automatically attempts to reproduce the bug in ephemeral containers using the project’s pinned dependencies and OS matrix. When reproduction succeeds, it posts a “Repro Pack” back to the issue: exact environment fingerprint, minimal steps, logs, and a ready-to-run container command. When it fails, it asks targeted follow-up questions (versions, flags, sample data) instead of generic templates. Maintainers can define supported environments, required fields, and privacy rules (e.g., redact secrets). This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional automation for environment capture/replay, plus AI to generate clarifying questions and summarize logs. The goal is fewer back-and-forth comments and faster fixes without maintainers burning out.
