ReSaleGuard is a mobile + web app that helps buyers and sellers of pre-owned and vintage jewelry reduce fraud, misrepresentation, and post-purchase disputes. It provides a structured listing workflow that forces the right evidence: macro photos, weight, measurements, hallmark shots, and condition grading. An AI-assisted “red flag” check highlights inconsistencies (e.g., stated karat vs. hallmark photo, implausible weights, edited images, missing angles) and suggests what to re-photograph. For higher-value items, the app routes transactions through optional third-party verification: insured shipping to a partner jeweler/appraiser, a standardized inspection report, and escrow-style release. It also generates a resale-ready “condition passport” that can follow the item across future resales. This is not a magic authenticity detector; it’s a practical risk-reduction workflow that makes honest sellers look credible and makes scams harder to pull off.
