RescuePing

RescuePing is a mobile app (iOS/Android) that turns trip plans and timed check-ins into a practical, low-friction safety system for hikers, hunters, climbers, paddlers, and solo runners. You set a route area, key waypoints, and a “must check-in by” schedule before you lose service. If you miss a check-in, the app escalates: it first pings your emergency contacts with your last known location, planned route, and a simple status dashboard; if still unresolved, it generates a ready-to-forward incident packet for local SAR (coordinates, timestamps, vehicle info, gear, medical notes). It’s not a satellite SOS replacement and won’t pretend to be—its value is making the most of what people already carry (a phone) and reducing the chaos when someone is overdue. Optional paid tier adds family dashboards, multi-person group trips, and integrations with Garmin inReach/Apple Health for richer context.
