RestorScope

RestorScope is a web + mobile AI-assisted restoration documentation and decision-support app for historic homes. Users photograph elements (windows, trim, masonry, plaster, roofing), and the app builds a room-by-room “conditions log” with likely material type/era, common failure modes, and restoration-safe options (repair vs replace) with pros/cons. It generates a shareable report for contractors, preservation boards, and insurers, including annotated photos, measurements, and a timeline of interventions. It also maintains a “chain of custody” for changes: what was done, by whom, with receipts and product specs, so future owners don’t repeat damage. Reality check: it won’t replace an architect or conservator; it’s a structured workflow tool that reduces dumb, expensive errors and speeds approvals by producing consistent documentation.
