RetentionRig

RetentionRig is a web app (with optional desktop agent) for enterprise content management teams that need to enforce record retention and legal holds across messy, multi-repository environments. It connects to Microsoft 365/SharePoint, Google Drive, Box, file shares, and common ECM systems, then maps content to retention schedules using metadata, folder context, and policy rules. When a legal hold is triggered, it freezes relevant items and produces an audit trail that stands up in discovery. When retention expires, it runs a controlled disposal workflow: approvals, sampling, exceptions, and cryptographic deletion certificates. It also flags “orphan” content (no owner, no policy) and high-risk stores where retention is not being applied. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI helps classify and recommend retention categories, but policy execution remains rules-based and reviewable.
